The Pentagon has released a video showing a UFO flying over an active conflict zone in the Middle East in 2022, raising concerns about the potential for unintended crossfire, according to experts. During Wednesday’s hearing before the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities, a short clip was shown of a metallic-looking orb flying at a fast pace, considered an “unresolved case” by the Pentagon. Investigative journalist Jeremy Corbell said the issue of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs) in an active conflict zone could create potential problems for combatants as they may not know whose assets they are, evoking an additional level of concern.

Pentagon Releases Video of UFO in Active Conflict Zone

In 2022, a video of a UFO flying over an active conflict zone in the Middle East was released by the Pentagon. An expert has noted that the object’s presence increases the risk of unintentional crossfire. The short clip of a metallic orb was shown during a hearing before the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities. After viewing the hearing on Wednesday, investigative journalist Jeremy Corbell told Fox News Digital:

“[The UFO] evokes an additional level of concern due to the probability of unintended crossfire,”

“The potential for misidentification could be devastating and should be a call to action for the safety of our service members.”

The orb sighting is one of two incidents discussed during the hearing out of 650 reported sightings tracked by the Pentagon. Investigative journalist Jeremy Corbell commented that it “evokes an additional level of concern due to the probability of unintended crossfire”. Combatants don’t know whose assets they are dealing with, so the potential for misidentification could be devastating and should be a call to action for the safety of service members.

Unresolved Case

Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, the director of the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, stressed that there needs to be more information and data funneled to AARO if the department hopes to close unresolved cases. The object in question is considered an unresolved case, with no demonstration of enigmatic technical capabilities or any apparent threat to airborne-asset safety. Kirkpatrick presented an infographic that shows how the metallic orb is consistent with “other metallic orb observations in the region”.

Spherical UAP sightings account for 52% of all sightings to AARO, with the UAP in the footage demonstrating characteristics and behavior consistent with those of other metallic orb UAP observations in the region. Kirkpatrick is working with the joint staff to establish what reporting requirements are necessary, timeliness and all the data that should be delivered to and retained by AARO from all the associated censors.

Mosul Orb

The footage reminded Jeremy Corbell of the Mosul Orb, which is a similar-looking metallic orb recorded by a US spy plane flying over Mosul, Iraq, in 2016. Corbell, who was the only civilian named during Congress’ historic UAP hearing in May 2022, shared an image of the 2016 Mosul Orb during an interview with Fox News Digital in February.

In reference to the four aerial objects that were shot down in American airspace, including a Chinese spy balloon, Corbell said:

“As you know, we are shooting things down over the United States of America now without really identifying them before we shoot them down. The rules of engagement of how and why we can fire upon objects are completely being rewritten right now.”
