Vivek Ramaswamy Under DNC Fire

In a new update from Vivek Ramaswamy, he has announced that the Democratic National Committee is very unhappy with him as he enters the 2024 race. After appearing on Tucker Carlson’s show Tuesday night, where he announced his candidacy, the DNC released a statement of their own on Ramaswamy.

That statement reads,

“As Vivek Ramaswamy uses Tucker Carlson’s show to announce his campaign for president, one thing is clear: The race for the MAGA base is getting messier and more crowded by the day,” it read. “Over the next few months, Republicans are guaranteed to take exceedingly extreme positions on everything from banning abortion to cutting Social Security and Medicare and we look forward to continuing to ensure every American knows just how extreme the MAGA agenda is.”

While the DNC is in opposition to Ramaswamy, why do they care so much to release a statement on a Republican primary candidate so early in the 2024 election cycle?

Vivek Ramaswamy, a successful entrepreneur, and investor, has announced his run for the presidency in 2024. Ramaswamy, who has previously expressed his conservative political views, has been increasingly involved in public discourse on various topics, including free speech and the role of government in society.  During a live interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tuesday he declared his candidacy. With his official campaign launch he joins former President Donald Trump and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley as the third GOP candidate in the race.

2024 Watch: Vivek Ramaswamy Making Detailed Plans

In his segment with Tucker Carlson Ramaswamy said,

“We are in the middle of this national identity crisis, Tucker, where we have celebrated our differences for so long that we forgot all the ways we are really just the same as Americans bound by a common set of ideals that set this nation into motion 250 years ago,” he said.

“That’s why I am proud to say tonight that I am running for United States president to revive those ideals in this country,” Ramaswamy said on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

“I think we need to put ‘merit’ back into ‘America’ in every spirit of our lives,” continued Ramaswamy, who said he will end affirmative action in “every sphere of American life.”

Since his appearance on Fox, Ramaswamy released a campaign video in which he said, “This isn’t just a political campaign; this is a cultural movement to create a new dream for the next generation of Americans.”

The 37-year-old has echoed time and time again, since teasing his bid to now campaigning, that he has a clear vision for the future and for America. He has gone on to discuss that and even mention specific points of that vision that he would like to accomplish in office. He mentioned he would end federally mandated affirmative action, on his first day. He talked about committing to abandoning climate religion, totally decoupling from China, an 8-year limit for all federal bureaucrats, saying no to central bank digital currencies, and releasing the state action files.

I challenge every GOP candidate to join me in making some easy commitments:
