Thursday the FBI denied accusations from Republicans on Capitol Hill that it has gotten rid of conservative employees based on their views. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), who is set to become chairman of the House Judiciary Committee when Republicans take control of the House on January 3rd, sent letters to the FBI alleging that the organization has become a tool of the Biden administration, removed conservative employees based on their political views, along with doing many other acts for the administration. Though the FBI has denied these allegations.
Jill Tyson, the FBI’s assistant director of the Office of Congressional Affairs, states that the views of some in the FBI do not reflect the entirety of the organization, seemingly meaning that they do not agree with the conservative members. Though Tyson also mentioned that they take these allegations seriously. Jordan and the House have stated they are ready to continue investigations into the Biden administration and their misuse of federal resources. As Jordan stated the FBI isn’t “immune” to an investigation.
