The first migrants coming from border-states will arrive in ‘sanctuary city’ New York City’s Randall Island today, Wednesday October 19th. The tent shelter is set to accommodate 500 people, with every intention for those people to be bussed in single men looking for temporary asylum. The tents are set up with facilities including laundry, phones, entertainment, and a cafeteria. This “temporary” solution comes after more than 18,000 asylum seekers came to the city this spring which has put a massive strain on the homeless shelter system.

Mayor Eric Adams has already issued a state of emergency calling the increase in migrants non sustainable. Wonder what happened to Democratic immigration policies? ABC 7 has reported that Adams is asking for help from Biden and coordination from Republican led border-states. While The New York Times has reported that Mayor Adams is considering using cruise ships to house migrants as the city becomes overwhelmed with migrants.

The city is housing families in hotels, while also saying that the tents will be able to double in capacity if necessary.

As of now the tent shelter is providing the migrants three meals a day and snacks, coffee, and tea 24/7. Fox News has said FOX 5 reported that all migrants will be tested for COVID-19. There is also supposed to be 24/7 security in the area and a 10 p.m. EST curfew. The city also has buses running to the area at least every hour.

There was some controversy on the original location, Bronx’s Orchard Beach, the city had originally planned for the tents due to flooding and location concerns. Though the final decision on location of Randall Island, is still controversial amongst supporters as they feel the location could be too remote from the city. Though, Fox News has reported that according to Fox 5, this change in location has already cost the city “$325,000 to move” and “$325,000 to set up again.” While FOX 5 also mentioned the whole project could cost more than $1 billion.

In first looks of the tents it is seen that migrants will have access to flat screen televisions, a recreational room with foosball tables, and Xbox systems.

It is unclear though, how long this setup will last. As it was set up to be temporary, the city strangely enough, has already had enough of an influx in migrants that they are weary of more entering their Democrat run state.

Why should the American citizens pay even one dime to support for the Illegal foreign national invaders who have broken the USA laws. There is no excuse for allowing this. The laws for legal immigration are very clear, you apply at your close’s American embassy with all your legal paperwork Including all health paperwork present & past. Either have a legal American citizens sponsor or a company who is offering you a legal legitimate job & enough funds to support yourself & immediate family for at least 2 yrs. Plus be aware you are not eligible for any benefits awarded to American citizen. Till after 5 yrs. if you can pass the citizenship test. That is how it should be otherwise deport all immediately back to country of origin
I read yesterday 3 south American illegal foreign national males who have invaded the USA & did not show up last July for a hearing were arrested for breaking, entering & robbing 20 wealthy homes in the Asian community of Wash DC
Besides the 300 a day American citizen dyeing from the drugs these illegals foreign nationals are smuggling in the USA

Why aren’t we treating our homeless vets the same way?

[…] Back in October, migrants were brought into New York City’s Randall Island tent city. As a “sanctuary city,” they had built this infrastructure, which Fox estimated to be at about $1 Billion, though even before the migrants were bussed to the area NYC’s mayor Eric Adams had called a state of emergency. He cited in that state of emergency issue that “the increase in migrants [was] non-sustainable.” Now, 3 months later, Mayor Adams is tired of the illegal immigrants in the city and has asked the federal government for help. Begging the question, should Biden deport the illegals the city took in willingly? […]
